Robinson Decries Biden Administration’s Handling of Afghanistan Withdraw

(HARRISBURG) – As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Afghanistan, state Sen. Devlin Robinson (R-37) today issued the following statement on the U.S. service member deaths in a terrorist attack at the Kabul airport:

“As a combat veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, I know the dangers and sacrifice our men and women in uniform make every day. It is clear the terrorist cells remain active in Afghanistan and the Taliban clearly breached any pledge to permit a peaceful withdrawal of Americans and Afghan allies before the Aug. 31 deadline.

“This attack and these deaths are the result of poor national leadership and a lack of firm resolve on the part of the current administration. We cannot replace resolve with weakness without putting American lives at risk overseas or here at home.”
